This was the better of the two Sanford’s brews I’ve had. I had it at the Sanford’s in Casper, Wyoming. Nice taste. Very smooth and refreshing.

On tap at the brewpub. This was the least favorite of the bunch. Weak amber color with light head. Weak malt nose. Weak caramel and malt flavor. Weak and light finish.

dwyerpg (3577) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - DEC 12, 2007
Had at Sanford’s in Cheyenne. Smells like a cider or pears almost, but not in a good way. Flavor is a little indistinct, but not as bad as the aroma. Okay, just not real interesting.

Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 20, 2007
Sampled at the Sanford’s Pub & Grub Brewpub in Sheridan, Wyoming. Manager informed me that the Red Line Amber Ale is brewed at the Sheridan location. This is an unfiltered amber ale. Pours a semi-hazy golden amber brew with a thin off-white head with some spotty lacing. Aroma of some light red berries, caramel malt with some flowery hops. Taste is lightly carbonated, medium bodied, some light bready malt with a touch of sour blackberries. Finish is semi-dry, slightly watery with a mild bitterness.

Tap. Pours amber with a foamy off-white head. Creamy lined lacing. Yeast and caramel malt aromas. Caramel sweet malt and brown sugar flavors. Medium to light bodied palate and clean crisp finish.

Had this at the Sanford’s in Sioux City SD ... a reltively unexciting, but better than Bud, choice for the beer bar patron.
