COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a fruit beer which uses a raspberry extract added after conditioning. The beer is unfiltered and should be a little cloudy. This is traditional for wheat beers. The malted wheat itself makes up 20% of the total grain.

Appearance: Pours a pale yellow body with a bubbly white head. Smell: Letís test this aroma out. Raspberries, check! Wheat, check! Taste: Raspberry flavor with a light, mild wheatiness. Though mild, itís still hoppier and more bitter than Iíd have expected from a raspberry wheat. Gah! Thereís an odd, plasticy quality to the finish. Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation. Watery mouthfeel. Drinkability: Tackling a climb up to the summit of the real Longs Peak would be far, far easier than finishing this beer.

9/09/2007: Longs Peak Raspberry Wheat pours a hazy straw color with a very thin white crown. The aroma is raspberry extract and perfume. This beer tastes like raspberry perfume with a tinge of slightly sour yeasty wheat in the finish. The soapy aftertaste is even more unappealing than the main flavor! This beer is fairly light.

12 fl. oz. bottle from hopdog via trade (bonus). Thanks again Steve! Rating #36 for this beer...

Bottle, pours a hazy yellow-brown body with little head. Aroma is expectedly raspberries and wheat. Light, watery body that is unfortunately weak. Taste is mainly a wheat beer with overtones of raspberry. Raspberry flavor is not as strong as the aroma suggested. Finishes clean though.

On tap at the brewery: This is the one my wife really liked. Iíll state up fromt that Iím not a fan of fruit/ wheat in general, but this one was well made. Cloudy, with not much of a head for the style. Could have used a bit more carbonation to be more refreshing.

Sampled at the Sanfordís Pub & Grub Brewpub in Sheridan, Wyoming. Manager informed me that the Cloud Peak Raspberry Wheat is brewed at the Sheridan location. This is an unfiltered fruit beer. Pours a hazy orange amber brew with a thick creamy pinkish white head that slowly dissolves to a fine film and leaves behind an excellent lacing. Aroma of powdery raspberry Jello mix with a light wheat biscuit malt and flowery hops. Taste is slightly tart, medium bodied, well carbonated with a dry raspberry flavor. Finish is semi-dry, a bit watery with a tart berry aftertaste.

Hazy yellow pour with a ring of white cream and wisps of white. Aroma is sweet raspberry but not overwhelming. Flavor is lightly wheaty and mildly raspberry. Hints of the honey that appeared in the Honey Wheat. Pretty standard fruit wheat.

Pours a tea auborn with a faint watery and syrupy raspberry. Flavor is corn, sour floral hops stained with small rapsberry chunks, and water. Tingly mouthfeel. Corn again?

[Colorado Road Trip Ė 2006] A nice easy to drink summer type fruit beer. Has lots of fruit flavor and a light bite at the end. This was nice but only when cold.
