COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Or award-winning India Pale Ale (1993) is a hop lovers dream. We load up on the Chinook and cascade to create high bitterness and wonderful aroma. We even dry-hop this beer to give it even more hop flavor. Our IPA has a rich copper color and lots of body.

Pours hazy copper with little bit of head. Aroma is citrus and floral, very nice. It has a rich grainy texture with its caramel malt profile. It balances very nicely with a slightly bitter piney bite and some citrus and tropical fruit hops. Pretty classic good IPA.

12oz bottle, purchased from Brennanís in Madison during GTMW. Half hazy red orange color. Slight brown. Thin khaki head. Leaves decent ridges of lace. Decent caramel malt, kind of nice. Toasty, some dark fruit. Mild spicy herbal hop, some tropical fruit, resin. Light hint of grapefruit. More malt forward, but itís not too sweet. Not bothersome. Moderate bitter taste. Light to moderate sweet. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of creamy, lighter carbonation. Light slick finish. Surprised at how much I enjoyed this one, it being a malt-forward IPA. Itís a nice balance, though.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a foamy tan head. Intoxicating aroma of kiwi, strawberry, melon, and flowers. Malty taste up front, some light notes, and a "rough" bitter finish. Medium carbonation.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was basically a hazy orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. There was some light clingy and somewhat foamy lacing. The smell had some light citrus to piney hops to blend decently with some light spice. There was some light caramel in there as well. The taste was sweet and bitter but at separate times. The palate had some decent harshness but managed to be somewhat tame. Overall, I say this was an alright beer.

Tap. Pours dark orange/ brown with white head. Aroma is citrusy hops, not a ton else going on. Taste bitter backbone, very citrusy, medium bodied, flat, needs more carbonation. Not too impressed.

Salmoniform (648) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - MAY 31, 2014
Poured from tap to glass. Amber hue with off white head that diminished to a thin ring. Aroma is papaya, melon, tangerine, honey, cantaloup, caramel. Mouthfeel is decent with a moderate body and low carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout with a bitterness in the following which is reminiscent of bitter orange peel. Overall a moderate IPA as itís a bit too heavy on the caramel.

Decent amount of hops and the right amount of bitterness. I generally prefer my IPAís at a higher ABV, but this one sufficed. See how it went down: http://teamchug.com/?p=341

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark orange-red with white head, aroma brought grapefruit, nice orange peel, hints of candied orange as well into some caramel, slight spice, grassy notes. Taste is a mix of grass, some orange, grapefruit, and lemon, hints of spice, grass in the end with some caramel, finishing bitter. Pretty nice, nothing special but all good elements in it.

This is a great IPA with wonderful hoppiness. The dry hopping is very evident but with a smoothness thatís hard to beat. May become one of my new favorite IPAs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
