Or award-winning India Pale Ale (1993) is a hop lovers dream. We load up on the Chinook and cascade to create high bitterness and wonderful aroma. We even dry-hop this beer to give it even more hop flavor. Our IPA has a rich copper color and lots of body.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was basically a hazy orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. There was some light clingy and somewhat foamy lacing. The smell had some light citrus to piney hops to blend decently with some light spice. There was some light caramel in there as well. The taste was sweet and bitter but at separate times. The palate had some decent harshness but managed to be somewhat tame. Overall, I say this was an alright beer.

Tap. Pours dark orange/ brown with white head. Aroma is citrusy hops, not a ton else going on. Taste bitter backbone, very citrusy, medium bodied, flat, needs more carbonation. Not too impressed.

Poured from tap to glass. Amber hue with off white head that diminished to a thin ring. Aroma is papaya, melon, tangerine, honey, cantaloup, caramel. Mouthfeel is decent with a moderate body and low carbonation. Taste is sweet throughout with a bitterness in the following which is reminiscent of bitter orange peel. Overall a moderate IPA as it’s a bit too heavy on the caramel.

Decent amount of hops and the right amount of bitterness. I generally prefer my IPA’s at a higher ABV, but this one sufficed. See how it went down: http://teamchug.com/?p=341

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark orange-red with white head, aroma brought grapefruit, nice orange peel, hints of candied orange as well into some caramel, slight spice, grassy notes. Taste is a mix of grass, some orange, grapefruit, and lemon, hints of spice, grass in the end with some caramel, finishing bitter. Pretty nice, nothing special but all good elements in it.

This is a great IPA with wonderful hoppiness. The dry hopping is very evident but with a smoothness that’s hard to beat. May become one of my new favorite IPAs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

October 2010. Sampled at the brewery. Amber brew with a white head. Caramel is dominant and the hops are lacking. A bit thin mouth feel and body. Middle of the roas IPA.

12 oz bottle from the brewery. Copper colored with a light tan head. The aroma and flavor is citrus hops, tropical fruit and caramel malts. Medium bitterness with a medium body, a smooth crispy feel and a semi-dry finish. Not bad, one of their better offerings.
