COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our honey wheat beer contains 120lbs of honey per batch. As with the raspberry this is a lighter beer and also one of our most popular. The honey gives the beer a slight sweetness and also raises the alcohol content because the yeast ferments some of the honey. We use traditional hallertau hops in producing this unfiltered wheat ale.

In the bottle from Total Beverage. Pours a cloudy pale yellow color with almost no head to speak of. Something of a doughy aroma with just a slight suggestion of an infection. Has only a mild honey taste, so don’t think you’re getting Berrinjaeger here. The only nice part to this beer is that it finishes with a clear blast of wheat flavor.

Super light golden in color. The honey adds a nice sweetness to the aroma. Malty flavor with a light sweetness. Notes: Pub visit during ’09 GABF

Sample at the brewery. Pours a thin white head, of short duration, over a slightly hazy, yellow (SRM 3) body.....nose is light floral to stasrt.....taste is light cereal, with mild floral honey at finish...mouth feel light, carbonation high. This is a pleasant, light, not particularly complex wheat. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6

(bottle 1/28/11). Cloudy dark gold color. Medium off white head, which is mostly diminishing. Moderate wheat aroma. Flavor of the same, with light sweet honey. Avg duration. Light dry finish. Slick texture. Soft carbonation. Spare lacing.

one of the worst beers I have had in awhile; guess I brought this back from CO. pour and aroma are average. front half of taste is ok, but the last 1/2 of the taste is metallic sour (yeasty?) blahhh. don’t do it...

onceblind (1622) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 8, 2011
Clear light golden in color, with a small disappearing head. Not much on aroma besides light wheat bread dough and light honey. Aroma was equally bland, with notes of slightly spicy wheat bread, light toast, and light sweetness from honey. Nothing inspirational, but nothing offensive. Just a little too light and too carbonated.

Gold pour. Aroma of caramel, honey and light wheat bread. Flavor is watery with notes if wheat and honey.

Pale, clear yellow with a small white cap that’s quickly gone. Aroma of pale lager and honey. Taste is sweet wheat and water. Thin and heavily carbonated. I’ll finish it, barely.

On tap at Old Chicago. Pours yellow with white foam. Smells bland, but slightly sweet. Tastes lightly wheaty with a slight kick melting into a slightly spicy honey.

Tap at the brewpub. Gold/white head. Light sweet aroma. Flavor is a bit wheaty and light honey pervades. Maybe a hint of bitter.

Nothing much to it. pours a pale gold, small white head. Not much aroma. Bit of honey sweetness to it, but generally a non-descript beer.
