COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our honey wheat beer contains 120lbs of honey per batch. As with the raspberry this is a lighter beer and also one of our most popular. The honey gives the beer a slight sweetness and also raises the alcohol content because the yeast ferments some of the honey. We use traditional hallertau hops in producing this unfiltered wheat ale.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy medium yellow, dense tiny particles, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly yeasty (dough), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly malty (light bread). Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Obtained a fresher bottle at the brewery, but the aroma is still very faint, and it’s still fairly bland.

Sampled at the Sanford’s Pub & Grub Brewpub in Sheridan, Wyoming. Manager informed me that the Big Horn Mountain Wheat is brewed at the Sheridan location. This is an unfiltered wheat beer. Pours a hazy lemonade blond brew with a cream white head that quickly dissolves to a fine film. Aroma of light Belgian yeast, some multi-grain malt with a touch of dried nuts. Taste is light bodied, well carbonated with a yeasty wheat and dry biscuit flavor. Finish is watery with a very dry yeast aftertaste.
