Draft at the brewpub. Hazy golden-yellow with a thick, creamy white head. Herbal and spicy, not really so true to style. Some mellow yeasty tones, light soapiness as well. Restrained, approaching watery mouthfeel in line with most of their other products. Lemon-pepper. Medium to full bodied. OK, but nowhere near World Class. Score seems a little higher than it deserved.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours clear dark gold with a white head. Mild yeast/spice aroma. Med body/strong carbonation. Flavor is very orange/citrus/fruit. Quite spicey. If there is barnyard/earth/funk, it probably is a citrus suggestion.

Big creamy head. There’s a bright citrus aroma and flavor up front, followed by clove and banana. All the right stuff I guess, but it’s pretty unbalanced, with a harsh corn quality to it. Mediocre.

Pours an average straw/corn yellow with a restrained banana clove and musty malt nose. Flavor is malty, wet hay with spots of mold; finish is a funky corn/straw mixture. Average mouthfeel. Pretty middle-of-the-road.
