Ernest (4178), Boulder, Colorado, USA Nov 6, 2004 Draught. Body is medium to dark brown. Aroma is lightly malty (caramel, molasses), with notes of banana and acetone. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Disturbing alcohol type in this...not quite fusel, not the normal yeast byproduct, but something much more akin to nail polish remover...tends to co-dominate the profile with the banana ester. Rather flimsy and bland in the mouth experience. Back to the drawing board with this one, I’m afraid.
