Mondial de la bière Montréal 2010
Aroma light hop profile for labeled IPA , honey with amber malt , some of citric hop character shown.
Appearance clear amber with mid fine top.3+
Flavor and Palate : strange , sugary with off citric notes. Hint of dark soil at finish. Strange IPA of Brazil.

Bottle. Pours golden, with lots of carbonation and an airy head. Almost no aroma, with some vague notes of caramel malts and a bit of fruitiness. Flavour starts of with a caramel malt, with a fruity hoppiness building up to the nicely balanced bitterness in the finish.

Drink at Pratos e brejas 2010... Amber color with a nice persistent cream. Aroma has some floral and wheat, flavor has some balanced between sweetness and bitterness. Mouthfeel is short dry.

On tap at Boteco Colarinho, Rio de Janeiro. Pours a dark copper colour with a tall white creamy head. Aroma is sweet malt and some distant burnt notes. Taste is sweet sugary citrus with some caramel and some strange hops. Nice smooth and creamy on tap. Quite a different IPA but nice.

I am not a huge fan of IPA’s to start with... Interesting beer, though. Dark amber, with beige head. Hints of molasses and burnt caramel. But the flavor is quickly overshadowed by its potent bitterness. Not sessionable at all. Good for harmonization with a decent steak.

A golden amber IPA wotj a thin moka head. In aroma, another fresh mashed malt, grainy and smooth. In mouth, a smooth grainy malt with light chalky notes, not an IPA but not bad. Bottle at Mondial 2010.

Verre de dégustation provenant d’une bouteille de 600 ml dégusté au Mondial de la Bière 2010 (Montréal, QC). Arôme: Odeur de caramel avec une pointe d’houblons. Apparence: La couleur est cuivré avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel avec une pointe d’houblons. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence de caramel sucré en arrière goût. (Rating #3055)

Bottle sample at Mondiale 2010 Day Two. Serviceable IPA. Dark colour, a black IPA.Sheets of lace. Unusual hops, bitterness.

Sampled at Mondial 2010. Clear copper. Aroma is caramel, hops and malt. Flavor is caramel, herbal and piney hops, moderately bitter finish with some alcohol and wood.

aroma: chocolate, coffee, toast. light sweetness, medium bitterness, light body, thin feel, average carbonation, bitter, long finish. good India Pale Ale.
