1.4 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20
0.33 bottle. Small white head, pretty alright retention and an extremely pale yellow color... actually it’s the palest I’ve ever seen, basically white wine further attenuated with water. Very soft aroma, a little bit of hops and malts, best described as generic, shitty, pale lager fragrance. Taste is hackneyed, some delicate bitterness and pine, that’s about it. Light body, texture balanced somewhere between creamy and slick, carbonation is below average. Finish is short and tasteless. Overall the beer is a typical example of a commercial, mass-produced lager, it does however quench thirst, is extremely drinkable and kind of light, undemanding.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Nov 2012 - poor example of a lager. Quite watery, not much flavour to it at all. Still fine - certainly drinkable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
330ml bottle, poured into Leffe chalice. 4.8%abv. Golden colour, clear, one finger head didn’t hang around very long, not much lacing either. Aroma was paint and malt. Tasted a malt forward bitterness, slightly bready. The finish had a bit of sweetness. Crisp texture, light body, well carbonated. Overall it had a fairly basic taste, not bad for a hot day, but not that great.
