This has got to be one of my favourite bland lagers of the current time. Iíve had the stronger stuff in Spain but this is what they sell over here at my local tesco, with a 3 for 2 offer, so 12 bottles for a tenner, not bad value compared to the other of wishy washy UK lager like Stella, Bud, Carling, Fosters Gold etc which retail at £8 for 12. Granted I havenít had it in anything other than a bottle, but itís crisp, with a pleasing lagery taste. It holds well in high quantity, which is very important for me as I tend to drink at least 8-12 bottles in a session. The alcohol content is also pleasing for this purpose, at 4.6 it doesnít get me as drunk as 5% stuff would, but lasts the same amount of time. It smells like a lazy Spanish afternoon, and would go great with tapas. The colour I assume is pale golden, as the Spanish stuff is. It also has an added benefit in that Iíve had no ill effects the following morning, as I do so often with the now 4.8% major brand lagers that we have in this country, which have also become very metallic. I assume this is because of a lack of chemical filtering. It has corn, and citrus in the nose, very grainy taste, with a mild hint of citrus. Light beer for light summer days. Lovely.

On tap at the Cosy Club, Corn Street, Bristol 12/7/2014. Deep gold with plenty of fizz. As others have noted, this was a non-descript beer, with little character, either good or bad. Gluggable, but with little enjoyment.

I went on an all-inclusive trip to Gran Canaria last summer, where this was the one and only beer available on the hotel. I thought Iíd pick it up just to try it again. Very very faint aroma. Is this 4,6% alcohol, or 2%? The appearance is quite nice. Not quite as bright as a lot of other lagers in this category. Very light body. Fresh. Aftertaste is virtually non-existent. While the overall taste comes off as very "light", it doesnít taste "bad" in any way. It definitely doesnít taste any better now than it did back at the hotel in Gran Canaria. I donít know why anyone would buy this (in Sweden, at least) when there are so many other lagers that are much more interesting.

0.5L tap. Pour clear pale with a minimal white head. Some light malt aromas of hay. Flavor is mild sweet with some bready malt, but overall, not much going on. Finishes with some generic, herby hop bitter. Thin mouthfeel with average carbonate. Overall, a prettty mediocre continental lager.

Clear, pale yellow. Frothy white head. Lagery, slightly bready aroma. Flavour is soft, malty with a hint of citrus. Rather light body, short finish. Ok refreshing on a hot day.

Tap Barcelona 2012. Clear golden color, one finger frothy white head, disappears quickly; aroma wheat, corn, citrus; mild sweetbitter taste; light body, oily texture; crisp light bittersweet finish.

Keg at the Old Cock Inn, Harpenden. Gold with a moderate white head and middling fizz. Quitely crisp and with an understated citrus flavour, this is actually quite pleasant and easy-to-drink for a global lager.

Classica lager industriale della Spagna. Bionda chiara con bella schiuma persistente. Al naso leggerissima con qualche sentore di malto ma si sente quello che noi del Vaffalluppolo chiamiamo "la puzza del pasteurizzato". In bocca corpo leggero e frizzantezza notevole.

400ml draft - light golden with white head. Some malty character in the taste, medium mouthfeel. Not a bad effort.
