Very positive surprise from a beer from Catalunya. Wheat mixed in the malst givin a good citrus flavor with sourness, but sweet too. Light yellow slightly hazy and white good head.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 DYCSoccer17 (2788) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 25, 2009
750mL bottle purchased at Total Wine in Roseville, CA. Aroma has lots of spicy pepper, coriander, lemon, some bitter orange peels. Moderately hazy golden body with a decent white head--lacing is a little weak. Starts a little spritzy and peppery. Then it has a little biscuit sweetness in the middle. Then...um...tastes like water to finish. Lacks any sort of bitterness, hops, spice, any sort of kick that makes me yearn for another sip. This has a nice aroma, but the flavor doesn’t parallel it. A bit of a rip off. I figured it would be, given all the bullshit on the label about how this is the first beer ever brewed specifically to be paired with food...yadda...they then fail to mention what kind of food this beer would pair well with. I can tell you that this would pair very well with saltine crackers, and that’s about it.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Vac (2442) - Soon to be back in San Diego, California, USA - FEB 24, 2009
Pours with a very pale yellow body topped by a thick white head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet with light fruity notes and light spice notes as well as some lemon. Light bodied and highly carbonated.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Borresteijn (2757) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JAN 25, 2009
75cl Bottle from Gall&Gall. Hazy yellow colour, white head. Aroma of fruits, malts, some grain, yeast. Flavour is sweet, yeast, fruits, a little spice, but all very subtle. Very soft in taste, really refreshing beer but not full-flavoured or anything, making this highly drinkable and unmemorable.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 IrishBoy (3336) - Bakersfield, California, USA - JAN 23, 2009
750 ml bottle from Country Club Liquors. Nose is flowery with lots of lemon and light corriander. Cloudy yellow with a big glass lacing pale yellow head. flavor is yeast, lemon, and a tiny smidgeon of bitterness.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Lowe1983 (1246) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - JAN 16, 2009
Pours a hazy golden color with a white head. Lots of citrus and lemon on the aroma, coriander and orange zest are also pretty strong. Lots of carbonation on this one. The orange zest doesn’t come out as strong on the flavor but it is still present. Lemon, coriander, and a little bubblegum come out on the finish. Pretty decent brew but not really worth what I paid for it.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 bhensonb (7586) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 15, 2009
Bottle from BevMo in Walnut Creek. Hazy lemon color with a 3-finger white head. Nice citric aromas. Near medium body with fizzy carbonation. Flavor is mild anise, orange zest, and arguably coriander. It is crisp and clean, and it is also perhaps a stronger statement than some wits. Good aroma with every quaff. Nice finish. Could be a session wit! Underrated.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 nuplastikk (2615) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 14, 2009
750ml bottle courtesy of argoO. Murky gold color. Sweet aroma. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Some pleasant malt presence, nice and sweet. Doesnt come off exactly like a typical Belgian White, has a lot more Euro-lager characteristics, but I thought it was pretty crisp and drinkable.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Cletus (6064) - Connecticut, USA - JAN 14, 2009
Pours gold with a nice lasting white head. Smells of ginger, coriander, lemon, vanilla. Tastes citrussy and sweet with some nice tarte hints and some coriander on the finish. Not deserving of the low scores.
