COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aromatized with coriander, orange peel and liquorice.

Inedit means "Never been done before". In cooperation witht the brewmasterd of Estrella Damm, Inedit was crafted by the globally acclaimed chef Ferran Andria, Juli Soler and sommeliers Ferran Centelles and David Seijas from ElBulli Restaurant.

A skillfully brewed blend of lager and wheat beer styles, Inedit uses a combination of barley malt, wheat, hops, coriander, orange peel, yeast and water. Uniquely brewed to create a complex aroma and opaque appearance, a floral nose leaves a sensation of fresh yeast and sweet spices. Lightly carbonated with a creamy texture, the soft full body leaves a long and lasting finish.

.5 L bottle directly from Barcelona. Appearance is great, small creamy, frothy white excellent lacing head with short life. Body hue orange yellow reminds me of blue moon. Smells like Belgian yeast, banana and orange with a spice I can’t put my finger on, probably because I’m smelling the yeastyness. Flavor is nothing special. Maybe I don’t have a pallet for the Belgian yeast beers, but it is very light and little hops finish, a smooth and carbonation tinge on the tongue finish. Light body finish, watery, lively carbonation very smooth finish. Yeast sediment on bottom of bottle, not a bad beer, expecting more.

Bottle 75cl. A hazy golden colour with an off-white head. An aroma of hay, cardboard, fruit and soap. The taste is medium sweet and light bitter.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - BBE 10/14, from Alko, 20140814) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had coriander, orange peel and hint of grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, orange, sweetness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was citric and mildly bitter. A thin spiced brew.

Luxury Belgian-style witbier made for the famous El Bulli restaurant, imported in Belgium by Corsendonck. Cream white, thin head, colour a kind of "misty old gold". Nose gets sourish wheat, soap, yeast, cheese, grass, white bread, coriander, orange peel, nutmeg. Soft wheaty taste, mellow sourishness with refreshing effect, smooth mouthfeel, spiciness subdued but coriander still noticeable, albeit subtle; bit yeasty, finish thirst-quenching but also a bit watery. Not a bad attempt at a witbier, considering it’s the guys from Estrella Damm who eventually brewed this.

... nee dus ...

Pours a hazy straw gold with one fat finger of fluffy white head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, moderate lacing. Nose is coriander, clove, orange peel, sweet malt, faint flowery hops. Taste starts lightly sweet, finishing citrus and bitter. Medium to light body, low sustained carbonation, and a slightly spicy aftertaste. Decent enough witbier, but nothing really stands out about it. I can’t say I really get much of the liquorice aroma the label claims, but orange peel and coriander definitely make an appearance, and there’s a lingering mild spiciness. Nicely drinkable, and definitely a serviceable patio beer, but not really the rare gem the packaging would have you believe.

Had it many times over the years. Loads of coriander in aroma, citrusy hops and strong malty body. Pleasantly carbonated. Gets better with age. Might be hard to find.
