Papillon (172), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada Apr 19, 2009 What’s this? A bright red 500 mL Can to get the bull all PO? It looked like a little matador’s cape rolled up there on the shelf when I picked it up. Visually this is one of the better I’ve seen with a frothy head that settles to a thin but tenacious foamy film that laces the sides of the glass beautifully over that pale clear straw body. In all of its other aspects, it echoes the lyrics of an old Trooper tune:
"You looked a whole lot better to me
From twenty feet away
You’re just a 3 dressed up as a 9
You’re only, wastin’ my time".
Aroma is corn, floral, and earth with a mustiness about it. flavor is predominently corn and steamed rice and an astringent corn husk aftertaste; not that pleasant. No olés for this wimpy thing. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA Apr 15, 2009 Pours gold with white head. Smell is yeasty and malty. Taste is yeasty, sweet and malty with a very light bitterness. Mostly a sweet and yeasty pale lager, and not as crisp and dry as I like. Thin body and prickly carbonation. Drinkable, but there are pale lagers I like quite a bit better. KingofCastle (202), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 15, 2009 can: How cheery to see that over produced macro lagers made by overly large & bland macro brewing companies is also alive and well in Spain as well. Who drinks this? Why would the LCBO even import this swill? Completely chilled this beer has almost no flavour (I guess this is an accomplishment). . . and has almost no colour (yikes). As it slightly warms it has flavour . . but not the kind you want. Brutal. robinvboyer (1419), Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada Apr 13, 2009 BORING!! wow, this is easily Spain’s answer to Macro crap lager. Lawnmower beer, I would only drink it is there was nothing else around. meh. danielyabu (269), União da Vitória, Brazil Apr 13, 2009 Aparência: espuma inicial média e irregular, cor branca e excelente formação de colarinho. Aroma levemente lupulado, floral, com toques de mel. Sabor inicial levemente doce e amargo. Sabor final levemente doce e moderadamente amargo. Média duração. corpo leve, textura aguada, carbonatação forte e final metálico. MrManning (1634), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 9, 2009 Can from the LCBO- Pours sparkling gold, a frothy white cap. Nose is quite grainy, of vegetables, mostly asparagus. Wet paper. This is fucking rank. Tastes not as bad as the nose, but still pretty stale. Creamed corn, a full platter of wet paper. This tastes quite stale. The finish is quick, with a touch of grassy hops, but this is really not at all good. Fuck. zach8270 (2051), Henrietta, New York, USA Mar 29, 2009 (bottle - 330 ml) Clear gold pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma is a mix of sweet malts and corn. Some dry grass at the beginning of the flavor that mixes with the sweet malts. It’s a lager. gunnar (486), Sandnes, Norway Mar 28, 2009 Bottle. Golden colour with a medium sized fine laced white head. Aroma of sweet malt. Taste is sweet with very little bitterness, industrial lager +
