Essentially the Spanish version of Bud -- well, really somewhat better. Ubiquitous throughout the country, much like Bud/Miller et al in the States. Not great, just a typical ’Spanish standard’ lager, with a little bit of flavor and too much carbonation. Do yourself a favor -- when in southern Europe, drink red wine (especially vino negro in Catalunya). It’s cheaper, usually much better tasting, and is often made on the premises. Remember, the point of vacationing in Europe is to *escape* American culture, not partake of imitations.

Fair malt aroma. Clear gold with small head. Light bitter and sweet, a little hop bitter in the aftertaste. Not light body, slick texture, live carbonation.

Proost.

Bottle. Dry, metallic pils but quite smooth. Easy to drink but hard to savour.
