Essentially the Spanish version of Bud -- well, really somewhat better. Ubiquitous throughout the country, much like Bud/Miller et al in the States. Not great, just a typical íSpanish standardí lager, with a little bit of flavor and too much carbonation. Do yourself a favor -- when in southern Europe, drink red wine (especially vino negro in Catalunya). Itís cheaper, usually much better tasting, and is often made on the premises. Remember, the point of vacationing in Europe is to *escape* American culture, not partake of imitations.

SchŲnes Gold im Glas, nicht zu hell, stabiler Schaum. In der Nase malzig, maischig, im Trunk malzig, leichte SŁŖe, hinten bitter. Hohe Drinkability, gut fŁr ein Industriebier.

Bright pale yellow color with a small cloud of fat bubbles. Faint frothy white 2 finger head, lasting around 5 minutes, with faint lacing. Flavors of skunk, roasted sweet grains, corn and syrup. Slick medium body with excessive prickly carbonation. Light finish with a short lingering thick syrupy feel, roasted malts, and faint noble hops. Overall this is crap. Watery flavors, too much sugar and low quality ingredients. Not fresh and flat. Boozy smell and filled with bad corn. The mouthfeel is slightly better than the average adjunct.

I had it from the bottle. The taste is caramel malt, corn, and grain. Itís sweet but still pretty crisp and refreshing. This was better than expected. This is better than the average pale lager.

Estrella pours a standard lager yellow body with decent carbonation and a thin white cap. Aroma of grain and barley some metallic notes as well. Flavor was similar to the aroma with the metallic bite fading quickly and grain/ grassy flavor taking over later. Overall a pretty standard beer, probably tastes better in Barcelona. Bottle and draught. Clear pale golden colour with a decent head. Aroma is malty, paper-ish, OK but, as with most lagers, not really amazing. Flavour is malty and sweetish, quite nicely balanced, lacking a bit of complexity but otherwise fine. Body is medium, thin texture. There are worse lagers around.

Tried every format repeatedly. Donít trash talk the battle beer of Barcelona. Itís light and nearly flavorless, maybe a slight taste of barley or maize. Very light bodied. Itís refreshing and enjoyable on a hot day. Itís a consistent, mass produced beer and as long as itís cold and fresh I never think itís unpleasant tasting. Nearly interchangeable with sparkling water. Maybe slightly worse than sparkling water but it does contain alcohol.

Great refreshing beer. Not sure what all ya smokin, you probably getting old ass bottles or your taste buds got destroyed by obscene amounts of hops and alcohol. Donít get me wrong I love IPAs but this is a great refreshing beer. Better then shit Budweiser or some Coors. Educate yourselves before giving bad review.

Pours an apple juice color from a bottle, sweetbread and rice pudding aroma and flavor, but in an almost sour skunky way, not a comforting way. Flavor is similar, very sweet. Nope.
