frankenkitty (1789), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jun 1, 2007 Rating #1600. Raise the Damm flag and play me my Damm song.
Some of our Damm raters seem to be confused and are rating this Damm beer under a different Damm name. If they took the time to read their Damm label, they’d see that Damm Barcelona weighs in at 5.4% and should be rated here, under Estrella Damm, and not under <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/damm-classic/9690/>Damm Classic, which has an ABV of 4.6%. That being said, I uploaded <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/beerimages/full_size/8572.jpg>this hi-res Damm photo to try to eliminate any Damm confusion in the future.
This Damm brew poured as uneventfully as any other Damm lager, with a light-hazed mid-golden body, under a typical, fading white head. (Maybe this would have looked more enticing if I was drinking it out of a Damm glass, but I digress.) Lightly oxidized, the Damm aroma was otherwise pleasant yet weak, with light herbs atop vanilla-tinged pale malt. The Damm flavor shows more oomph, as I find a nice wallop of bittterness bookended by a pleasant malted sweetness. Bitter enough, I think, that this wouldn’t be a bad Damm Pilsener.
Since this is the first Damm beer I’ve ever tried, I have nothing else to truly compare it to, but I must tip my hat to the Damm brewer and say... "Damm good".

dkachur (623), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jul 17, 2008 12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville, best by 03/09. Straw color with a three finger fizzy head. Average retention, longer than expected, and little specks of lacing. Very visible carbonation. Grainy aroma with some grass and subtle citrus hops. Taste is very similar, though slightly more hoppy. Nice pale lager. Adenila (589), Denmark Jul 14, 2008 Classic pilsner look and all in all just another avarage pale lager. The hobs seem abit better than the usual though. hellbilly (768), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Jul 12, 2008 i honestly bought this because it had a star on it and it was cheap... BB 09/08. clear pale yellow pour with a soft white head. it’s brief and somehow leaves behind some light drippy lacing. faint aroma... yeast, grass, lemon zest, earth and a mineral quality akin to pennies. the flavor has a distinct fruitiness to it... not sweet though. it’s actually quite dry and well balanced. pretty limited flavors... yeast, grass, pale malt and a lightly spicy dry finish. medium body with a light crisp mouth feel. it’s not bad. there’s nothing off... just watered down. swoopjones (1036), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 12, 2008 Bottle & draft. Barcelona. Another typical Euro Lager. Definately drinable & really nothing wrong. just standard Todeon (129), Höllviken, Sweden Jun 29, 2008 Bottle. Clear golden yellow color. Taste is a bit malty with some nice notes of white bread and som corn.
