COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is the jewel in the crown of Damm’s century-long beer-brewing experience. Since 1876, when Alsatian August Kuentzmann Damm founded the company bearing his name, numerous generations of master brewers have perfected this lager until it has become a landmark in the world of beers. This lager beer with a universally appreciated character and taste is ideal for drinking at any time. Its high quality is due to the finest selection of raw materials and the meticulous brewing process. It stands out for its creamy hops-flavoured froth and refreshing taste.

A quality beer, though the bottles I get look different in barcelona. This is THE beer to drink in Barcelona and it’s available in almost every bar both bottled and on tap. Very light and refreshing, not very distinctive. This is the catalan answer to the castillan beer ’mahou’ though I’d have trouble telling the difference between them.

Estrella Damm has a very thick, white head and a clear, straw appearance, with lots of streaming bubbles and ample lacing. The aroma is of sweet, bready malt and clean water, and the taste is of lightly-toasted cracker, sugar, water, and bitter hops. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Estrella Damm finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and dry. This beer is a clear winner. RJT

This is one of the better lagers I’ve had. Its almost like an American Style Pilsner, but it has a much better taste. A bit fruity almost. The first half is much better than the second half unfortunatly.

A nicely balanced, refreshing Euro lager. Brightly sweet malts, some corn, lightly hopped dry finish. Lagerboys should enjoy this one.

Sue me, but I liked this one. It had much more flavor (hops) than your typical lagers.

Clear straw colored beer with a a lasting white foam head. The carbonation is surprisingly sedate. A wheat and slight cheese smell with a a little pepper aroma as well. The taste of this beer strikes a well balanced taste of surprisingly significant malt that is eclipsed by a peppery hops. The palate is spot on lively yet thick enough to know there is more to this lager than water. No one part stands above the rest but the sum of this beer makes a good choice in imported lagers. I am glad that it is finding a market in the states.
