COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is the jewel in the crown of Damm’s century-long beer-brewing experience. Since 1876, when Alsatian August Kuentzmann Damm founded the company bearing his name, numerous generations of master brewers have perfected this lager until it has become a landmark in the world of beers. This lager beer with a universally appreciated character and taste is ideal for drinking at any time. Its high quality is due to the finest selection of raw materials and the meticulous brewing process. It stands out for its creamy hops-flavoured froth and refreshing taste.

I prefered this (instead of San Miguel) on my recent trip to Spain as this was slightly less bland. Medium bitter finish.

Brought back for me from Barcelona, and surely I’d have enjoyed it more swilling it while wandering around that charming Basque town. Oh well. Some other time. As for the brew, it was a typical, crisp, overly fizzy lager of the bland international style. Oddly, it’s surprisingly hard to get Spanish beer in the US. Perhaps because their wine industry is much more successful.

Draught Yellow, clear body with a white head. The aroma contains some hops, but is rather sweet and dull, more like dish water. Lightly bitter, lightly sweet flavour. A quite boring pilsener, but no real technical bad points.

A tick mark at a concert, little more than that. It has a sort of Mexico’s take on the Vienna lager look, feel and taste. So like a Do Equis.

This beer pours a golden yellow with a thin tan head that dissipates very quickly. the aroma is skunky and spicy. The flavor is bland, but a little sweet and slightly carbonated. This bdeer was actually pretty easy to drink and would be decent on a lazy summer afternoon and you wanted something light and refreshing. Cheers!

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Pale golden, decent head. Very hoppy nose, but not much bitterness and absolutely no hops make it through to the finish. Quite pleasant and fresh. Brewed with both corn and rice and quite potent for a lager. 240504

33cl bottle at Bradley’s Spanish Bar, London Xmas Pub Crawl. Pale gold with thick fluffy white head. Nice lager hop aroma, quite nice in mouth too with a drying finish. As lagers go, I would have this again if there was no other choice.

50 cl can, Mulmur, ON, Canada. Very pale yellow with a frothy white head (probably my bad pour adding to the froth). Initial skunky aroma, once past that some sweet grains. Light body, Metallic at the sides of the chops, some heat on the finish, pretty average but certianly drinkable.
