3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville, best by 03/09. Straw color with a three finger fizzy head. Average retention, longer than expected, and little specks of lacing. Very visible carbonation. Grainy aroma with some grass and subtle citrus hops. Taste is very similar, though slightly more hoppy. Nice pale lager.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Easy drinking is exactly what I was looking for tonight - this stuff reminds me of Castle From South Africa.
Poured out a large semi-foamy white cap with really good retention and excellent lacing throughout. Nice golden colour. Smells nice with soft citrus, a decent perfectly sweet malt base. Tastes also good, ya. Good biscuit malts that are well balanced with the sweetness and the slight lemony hops. Damn, I need to put this up against Castle (it’s been awhile since I’ve had that). Smooth mouth feel, goes down nice. Mild aftertaste. I could have drank this entire pint in a minute. Good summer drink!

Uma das melhoresw cervejas da Espanha, e encontrada em quase toda Madrid, o paladar acentuado de malte quase torrado dá um realce ao seu conjunto

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a clear golden amber with a thin white head - nothing special, but not off-putting. Aroma is richly malty and has a strong fruity component to it. Flavor is mainly malty and has traces of apple and cherry and is rather sweet. Texture is very smooth and somewhat thick, fizzy and lively. Not great, but worthy of a try.

Bottle. Poured pale with a quick fizzed out head. Aroma of caramel and fruit. The flavor found sweet caramel, and hints of citrus and fruit. Medium body.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A: crystal clear straw yellow color, with a pure white head on top. Moderate retention level with a good amount of splotchy lacing.
S: some hops in the nose, but it has that typical European lager aroma, which I find unappealing. Corn malts....not quite the nose I really wanted.
T: slightly sweet corn malt flavor, light hops, a hint of citrus but barely. It does taste better than the aroma.
M: a little dry, yet very clean and crisp. light bodied.
D: its drinkable, probably over a six pack for me. Very clean and crisp, but the body is too light for me.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
25 cl bottle from a local supermarket. It pours a clear golden liquid with medium white froth. Its aroma is hoppy, but mostly malty, with a little alcoholic hint that does not bother. The taste is likewise, with gentle malts all over your mouth. It goes down smoothly, with average carbonation. It has a very characteristic bitter aftertaste; very pleasant. This is the pale lager to get if you ever visit Barcelona: the most popular for a good reason. Some might find it boozier than others, but its bitterness and its malty character (Damm’s trademark) make the difference. The presentation is good: decent bottle with nice iconic crowncap.

33 cl bottle. $1 loose @ Binny’s. Puts on a nice bubbly show when poured, leaving a yellow beer with a spongy head. Surprised to find some floaties in it. No sludge in bottom of the bottle. Smell had a brief bit of skunk, but there seemed to be malt hiding under the cap. Taste is pretty good. No obvious corn here. Light crisp malts, prickly bitterness. There’s even a little sticky malt on my lip. A nice surprise: an imported lager that traveled well from a country not known for its beer tradition.

3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Poured a very pale yellow lager with a large pure white foamy head with fair retention and some lacing. Aroma of lightly sweet malt. Unfortunately, there is also on off-putting skunkines there as well. Taste is somewhat light with light malt with no distinctive notes of adjunct and some light dry hops presence. Body is a little heavier than I expected for a lager. Good carbonation. Except for the funky aroma, the beer was not as bad as the rating it has been getting. I will bet in a blind taste test, this beer would fair much better.
