Can: Pale yellow, pours a medium head. Chemical, metallic and watery that brings out a bitter tone and not much else.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 TheBeerGod (4635) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - MAR 22, 2004
My third sample bottle from a distributor this evening. Pours yellow with a white head. Nose is rather grainy and dusty. The taste is also somewhat grainy with malt. Not very good at all. I think this was the worst I had this evening. Unpleasantly stale finish. But hey, I picked up Spain as another country - the only positive from this.
1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 bierkoning (8956) - La Tropica, NETHERLANDS - MAR 9, 2004
Grainy sweet apple aroma. Grainy and dusty flavor, some sharpness. Skunky vegetable-like aftertaste. Poor quality beer.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 Kinz (2971) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - JAN 18, 2004
The things we do to pick up another country. Any ingredient list that specifically says "maize" doesn't really encourage a lot of hope. Medium yellow, fizzy head. Smells like cornflakes and soggy bread. Flavor is thin, watery, and unpleasantly adjunct laden. Ashy hop finish. Not good.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 defCon (19) - Albany, New York, USA - DEC 19, 2003
Without comparing it to other lagers, Spain impresses you very quickly. A slightly bitter aftertaste, but goes down smooth. Yellow/Gold appearance with a frothy head.
3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Darkover (1498) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 9, 2003
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2004 Gold color with a big lasting white head. Malt (bread/corn) aroma. Flavor is a little sweet, malty and has a little bitterness. Has a little hop bitterness in the finish too. Very good for a lager.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 BückDich (5467) - McCall, Idaho, USA - NOV 7, 2003
Pale golden color with a nice sized head that stays much longer than most lagers. LAcing all the way down the glass. The aroma has a solid european malt background and a quieted adjunct presence. The hops don't stand out much in the aroma. The flavor is has a light hint of DMS but is a well rounded buscuit malt profile. Finishes lightly bitter from the hops. This was a very nice international lager, I wasn't expecting this tasty treat.

Looks and smells like Bud...tasted very bitter and overcarbonated. A pass for me.
