Rating this beer not because I was sure that I couldn’t find it after I actually had it on ratebeer, so I had to refer to my notebook to find out what I wrote about it. Had it in Barcelona about ten months ago. Why I decided to try to find it now is beyond me. Pours bland golden, with frothy white head. Aroma pretty bland and leads you into the very slightly hoppy taste coupled with the undertones of corn... crispy and ’refreshing’, but overall, just another boring beer.

seymour (785) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 24, 2012
Tasted from 11.2oz brown bottle into nucleated pint glass. Striking fonts and graphic design, I like it. Poured a clear golden color with average white foam, somewhat lasting with a little lace. Smelled of freshly-cut grass, mild malt, faint corn and black pepper, almost no aroma hops. Flavors were light residual sweetness with more hops bitterness than typical pale lagers. Tasted corn too, but within acceptable range for style. Light body, high carbonation, thin mouthfeel, a little metallic, with a predictable crisp, dry lager finish. Bland but not deeply flawed. Fine for a summer refresher or with a rich/spicy meal.

On tap & bottled. Corn aromas. Pours bright gold, with white head, no lacing. Light body and high carbonation. Taste is corn, bitter. Average lager, maybe more bitter than the usual ones for Spain. Nothing remarkable. I try to avoid it when possible...

11.2 ounce bottle. Pours a clear pale gold with a decent fluffy white head. Aroma of malt and metal. Taste is malt, corn, and metal. Passable at best.

Brown 33cl bottle, best before June 2010, drank in Feb 2010. Yet another lager/pilsner to be imported into the UK, how many different labels do these people think our supermarkets can carry? Poured into one of my Veltins 0.2 litre stemmed tulip glasses (twice). Mid-range golden pilsner colour, with the normal pure white head on top. It looked your typical pilsner/lager, clean, clear and bright. The smell reminded me of stale tuna sandwiches left over after a buffet. Luckily it tasted OK, no fishy bits to report on! In fact it tasted more than OK, fresh, crisp and tangy. A good summer sunshine drink, pity it is pitch dark and around freezing point outside. The beer seemed to have more alcohol than the 4.7% on the label, I almost liked it. Suprised to find the beer so well made and flavoursome, one of the better lager imports I’ve come across, pity about that smell.

A cheap beer, barely drinkable when is cold and poisonous when not. Estrella Galicia is similar to other mainstream beers aviable on spain; but has a heavy bitter and sour taste in comparison. The carbonation is fizzy, but the foam doesn’t lasts more than 2 minutes, and the texture is very thin, like water ( thin texture + heavy sour taste = vinegar). Estrella Galicia has a lot of adepts, I drank it a lot of times when I was living on Galicia, because there weren’t any other brand on most bars; I almost lost my faith in beer because estrella galicia

Bottle. Pours clear, pale golden with a white head. Smells of malt and corn - nothing too unique, tastes bitter, malty with hints of butter, again, nothing new to write home about. Light body, a little salty finish, lively carbonation.

0,33 l bottle. Golden color. Clearly detectable corn in the aroma, tones of hay and a metallic nuance are also included. Rather dry finish.

Pours gold into a shaker. Soapy head with little retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Corn aromas. Sweet corn and adjunct front to back. Dry abrupt finish.

Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 26, 2012
0.33l bottle. This one pours a crystal clear golden body with a small quickly sidesticking and lacing white lager head. It smells a bit like the good old boiled carrots do, with a hint of sweet caramel and corn. Not anonymous or anything, just plain boring and not very good. It’s (of course) quite thin and watery in the texture and it just feels like drinking any old boring lager. A bit metallic indeed and a very low and confusing bitterness in the finish. Bah.. OH! No gluten! That’s at least something I guess? 10.03.2012

Flaske 0,33l kjøpt på Rema 1000, Nordkjosbotn. Fortært i Skibotn 25 Mar 12. Veldig lys gylden med et middels høyt luftig skum som forsvinner nesten helt. Litt skum fester seg til glasset. Malt/metallaroma. Smaken er syrlig frukt med en anelse malt. Litt tørr bitterhet i ettersmaken. En ok tørstedrikk. Egentlig en positiv drikkeopplevelse. Hadde ikke forventet såpass.
