This light mexican beer is easy to drink without much to distiguish it. slightly less palate points than Corona

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2012 Bottle @ home. Nothing really wrong with this beer, but obviously not very interesting. Easy to drink and nothing special, but an ok supermarket-beer.

On cask at The Guildford Arms. A pale golden lager with a thin white head. A bready yeast aroma with flavours of bready yeast again, some malt, grassy hops and honey. Light CO2 prickle.

So I’m in Puerto Vallarta and this is what goes for a special not local beer. Yeah I’m trouble, its going to be a week full of liqour, sadly.’ It pours, smells and tastes like any other mexi beer. Its light gold very clear with a little of hops. Of course its easy to drink, but has not alcohol or mouthfeel.

Poured into my flute glass, hoping for the best. The appearance of this beer leaves much to be desired. When I poured it I saw some potential, but alas I was let down in the biggest of ways. When the tiny head disappeared, and I mean completely disappeared, and the carbonation bubbles stopped rising, it looked like I what I was drinking was water with a little color. Aroma was of straw mostly, and bland at best. The best thing going for this beer is the taste. I can taste some sweetness with some hop bitterness at the end. It’s smooth and watery. I don’t think this is a great beer or even a good one, but somehow I like it. If beers could talk I think this one would say "I don’t look, smell or taste very good, but I never said I would and here I am." So I respect that and I would drink again.

Bottle. Had this on a trip to Playa del Carmen Mexico. Light and refreshing, but somewhat watered down and washed out. It was worth a try, but I will stick with Corona or Dos Equis next time down there.

This is rather unnecessary. Grupo Modelo makes several more beers similar to this but better. Serving: Bottle

this was brought out for a dak tick by superdave on 1/25/2010. clear pale yellow with a short lived white head. skunky sweet grain smell. it tastes like a cheap sweetened corn tortilla. watery texture... wtf happened to the carbonation? i like bad beer but this is just awful. 3/2/3/1/5/1.4

Brought back from a cruise by a friend. Light gold. Corn and very faint hop. Watery. Nothing to see here!

Clear gold, thin white head. Nose is canned vegetables , a little beef that is past it’s prime, some vaguely Mexican spices. Eww. Flavor is old canned veggies, old malt, just really dull. Kinda flat. That doesn’t help things at all.
