TheCheeseMan (504), Saint Cloud, Florida, USA Apr 5, 2008 I have wanted to try this one for quite some time, and Pepsican hooked me up. Pours a deep amber color. The aroma is of ripe, red apples, perhaps applesauce as well. The flavor is flabby, and not balanced, there is no discernible acidity to balance this cider. The mouthfeel really suffers from the lack of alcohol, it is just not working for me. Given the fact that this is on the level as Neige in terms of price, this one simply does not measure up for me.
IrishBoy (2057), Bakersfield, California, USA Jul 7, 2008 2005 375ml bottle from pepsican; Nose is like a caramelized apple (sweet apples with a light caramel note); color is a caramel brown (about halfway between a light and a dark caramel); flavor is apples, sweetness, and a definate toffee flavor. Finish has a tiny bit of tartness but not much. A very much different ice cider than all the others I have had! Enniskillen (1532), Port Angeles, Washington, USA Jul 7, 2008 Amber color. Aroma is sweet red apples, with light alcohol. Taste is apple, butterscotch, toffee. Pretty interesting Ice cider, very differant. KawaBomber (132), New Jersey, USA May 15, 2008 Bottle/2005: Golden amber, smells like applesauce...which has to be good right? I have to admit this is my first ice cider so I’m not quite sure how to rate this. It’s good. Sweet, tart, delicious. I really dig this...yum. BlackDonald (724), On a beer trip all over the USA, California, USA May 13, 2008 This was radically different from anything I had tried in the past, and I was expecting it to be sweet, but it was actually quite dry and bittter. very sticky on the palate and somewhat vinous. Just not a pleasant experience at all. Funknmilla (489), Absecon, New Jersey, USA May 8, 2008 2005 vintage bottle...Quite a task to enter the thing..golden amber color...aroma---sour apple sauce, but not a bad sour...sour is from fermentation, thats ok with me...viscous body...no carbonation (normal)...this is my first ice cider, although I’ve had quite a few ice wines....this one is unique in its apple based flavor, sweet yet tasty with the apple presence...damn good dessert stuff here...its like an apple cider on steroids
