3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
75 cl bottle. 2011 vintage.
Pours clear dark golden-orange color with a small, quickly dissipating head. Aroma of apples, grass, floral notes, some faint leather, barnyard notes and mild hints of alcohol. Flavor of apples, yeast, earth, mild leather, grass and lemon, some mild alcohol burn at the end. Sour and dry palate with a mouth-drying effect, dry finish. The alcohol comes through a bit too much, otherwise decent.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2013 750 ml corked bottle. 2011 vintage, 11% ABV. Deep golden body with a big white head that disappears quite fast. A really nice and balanced aroma of matured apples and apple core with just a faint hint of farmhouse. Flavor is apple fruity, mild acidity and some alcohol. Smooth and nice flavor with more elegance than farmhouse, still not slick. Medium to medium plus body, fruity aftertaste. I definitively enjoyed this one.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
375, corked, baled. Pours a crystal clear dark amber with very little fizz at the edge and no head or lace. Tart green apples and oak on the nose. Not sure where the oak is coming from...brown skins? Creamy medium body with lively carb. Green apples, dried apple skins, leather, and almost a peppery note on the mid palate, with a bracingly dry finish. Itís easy to see how this wouldnít be for everyone. Itís so bitter itís barely recognizable as a cider. Would probably get this again.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Thanks for bringing this one, Chipalsa. A unique experience with this one. A gusher. Smelled like sour apples, yeast, and wood chips. There were other, unidentifiable notes as well. It reminded me of the inside of an old wooden chest where folks used to keep clothes and other items in the old days. Body is amber colored with fizzy bubbles and a tan head that dies. Very carbonated. Tons of sediment - nasty amounts actually. Taste is musty, dry - almost salty, alcohol, galvanized rubber, and dusty apples. Not pleasing to me. Light apple flavor on the finish. A disappointment over all, especially for what this one sells for.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
This one disappointed quite well. Aromas filled the air with spoiled apples, vinegar and permanent marker. The taste was perhaps a little better, but still... tasted like stale air and dried apple peel. Bland. The body had a warming alcohol presence but was way too dry - like a terrible champagne. Pass.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ home. Random mini cider tasting. Clear copper orange appearance with no head. Tangy, dry apple, a bit spicy, a touch musty, rich apple aroma. Burnt apple, somewhat toasty, a little woody, fairly bitter flavor with a dry, bitter finish. I think itís the roasty darkness of this one that I really didnít enjoy.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 2011 ... Clear golden orange pour had some carbonation on pour but settled fast with a thin ring of white head .... aroma of red apples, bitter and dry .... taste is super dry mouthfeel wise, apple juices, bitter red apples, some taste of skins leading to a dry bitter finish ... abv is very well hidden for 10% .... decent but nothing spectacular ... maybe the apples from Pays díAuge that fell off the tree?

Pours hazy dark golden color with white head. Musty apple aroma. Semi sweet apple flavor with a musty cellar tase. Light to medium body with effevescent carbonation and a dry finish. Not as good as their regular cider.
