Bottle pours caramelish amber, large frothy off-white head, attractive lacing, yet with little carbonation.   Definite malt aroma, plus a slight toffeeish flair.   Up front its rather malty, slightly biscuity, with the aformentioned toffee mixed in.   Body isn’t as full as I would like, but tiz not bad.   Finishes light, with a slight buttery malt aftertaste.   Nothing spectacular, but not bad either.   Like Gromit said, its a middle of the road Amber.

Great hoppy aroma. The hop flavor is not as strong as the aroma, but seems about right for a pale ale more than an amber. Hops fade as the beer goes. Pretty good stuff.

Bottle. Ruby beer with a light tan head. Toasty, caramel aroma. Caramel, light roast flavor with some light citrus backing. Medium bodied. Light citrus and caramel lingers.

Bready with mild hop notes. Thin and mildly bitter on the palate. Mildly sweet finish.

Aroma of hop and malt. Reddish amber color with virtually no head. Starts with sweetish malt, balancing hop arrives, malt comes back, and the finish is hop. Moderate mouthfeel - thin, but swishing improves. IBUs probably exceed the average amber. Something like a malty IPA - compare to Deschutes Inversion. Just a thought. Very pleasant to drink.

This is nothing special, a beer that you immediately know what you are getting as soon as it is poured. All the typical characteristics are there and I cannot really add anything that has not already been said in pervious reviews. Not too bland but not too sweet in the malty side, with some fleeting hoppiness as an afterthought.

Nice amber color, medium sized off white head that had a decent hangtime then faded to leave a bit of a lace behind. The aroma was caramel and malty with a slight hint at the hops. The flavor had a nice malty side some caramel maybe toffeeish and faint hops in the end.Pretty much an ordinary brew with little going on for flavor, but it’s worth trying once, but i think it would be a waste spending the shipping dough to get.

UPDATED: AUG 27, 2006 12 oz bottle Reviewed again at the At Hops in Humboldt Micro-Brew Festival. Nice amber color, with nice tan head. Lots of malts, and good hops. This one of those that was better in the beginning than at the finish. Mouthfeel ws OK, but nothing outstanding. However when all is considered this is a nice brew and easy to drink. After re-reviewing this my rating stays the same.

Dark amber color. Aroma of toasted malts and caramel. Lightly sweet malt, toast and caramel. A light touch of hops. Not incredible but easily drinkable.

Nice malty aroma, foxy amber body, somewhat foggy with a very thin white ring of head, malty flavor with a somewhat bitter finish that lasts about a second, and then my mouth just tastes like I had a sip of water, palate is pretty weak, I guess that 1 second of bitters is the only thing that keeps me raising the glass to my lips, never trust a magician.
