From cask. Pours clear to cloudy deep orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramelish and slight roasted. Light bitter and subdued fruity. Dry roasted malt. Lingering malty finish with a bit of bitterness.

The Baron. Looks alright; orange gold with pure white lace and a good lacing foam. Mushed wheat, coriander-type aroma, with some veg and bacon kicking in. Condition, soap, earth and hazelnut despite the paleness. Fine.

Cask - The Crosse Keys (JDW), London. A clear, yellow body and a creamy, medium sized white head depositing some lacework. Dry & toasty, light lemon notes and crisp base hoppiness. Yeasty, a bit musty on the tongue with grassy hops and grain flavours. Light body, short finish and low to medium carbonation.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Hazed Gold amber with no head. Thin sweet, lemony malt, ropey conditioning, this was a hold your nose and knock the beer back type. Lager without the fizz, limp and lifeless.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 downender (4389) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2010
Cask-conditioned at the Staple hill Oak, Bristol 14/11/10. Slightly hazy brown with a decent, off-white head. Grainy, bready malt aroma with some caramel and orange fruit. Flavour had some toffee, citrus fruit and dough before a dryish finish. Unusual, but ok.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 wheresthepath (1087) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2010
[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading] Light amber, slight white head, moderate prickles. A bit of lemon, a bit of grass, but it’s pretty weak, watery and bland (are they going for a genuine recreation of a macro lager....?!)

4th November 2010 Spoons Fest! Hazy (hazy??!) dark amber beer. Tiny white head. Low carbonation!! Dusty tired malt with some green apple. A little orange hop was the only welcome flavour before the dry finish. Fails on every count. I like lagers but this is dismal! I’d honestly rather have a Carling Cold than another of these!

Cask. High Cross, Leicester. No head, brown body. Very metallic taste. Aroma is copper and iron, piss and vinegar but not off. Some malt. Bitter with sweet notes.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Leighton (4097) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 10, 2010
Cask at The Central Bar JDW. Pours a lightly hazy amber-gold with a thin, filmy head. Light bread malt nose. Faintly sweet with sour malts and some fruity, earthy and doughy notes. Light bodierd with fine carbonation. Finishes with light earth bitters. Could be off a bit. Not very good this.
