COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark beer, light and sweet and full bodied, highly fermented, very malty aroma. The slight Hpfennote rounds out the flavor and gives this drink a monastery special character. A beer in the good old custom of the monastery.

Bottle at Rathskeller in Indy. The beer is a dark ruby-brown color with a medium light beige head that diminishes slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of caramel, roasted malt and fruit. Light-bodied with a toasty malt character and notes of caramel and sweet fruit. The finish is malty with a sweet roast aftertaste. Decent overall.

500ml bottle in a lager glass. Pours transparent brown with a light tan head. Aroma of caramel malts with a little nuttiness plus floral hops. Flavor about the same. Average texture. A decent beer.

Cherry red and clear. A small beige head soon becomes a ring. Flavors of dark fruit and wheat. Lots of malt and just a bit of background bitterness and spice. Some molasses. The finish added some chocolate covered cherries. This was understated and nice.

16.9 oz. bottle. Julio’s Liquors for $3.89 after Wild Six Discount. Red/ brown color with lively Co2. Very thin white head and spotty lace down the lager glass. Smells real nice, lots of roast. Pretty malty beer, with rich caramel and toffee notes initially and a nice Euro hop to add bitterness. Hazelnut notes. This was clearly a fresher bottle. Drier finish, this bottle was gone way to fast. This would be Supreme on draught. I could drink large amounts of this.

Black-red colored with little brown head. Roasted, bit chocolaty aroma with some dark fruits and thin licorice. Thin to medium bodied, carbonated palate. Flavor is more roasted with nice hopped grassy note, aftertaste dries with hops, some caramelly-chocolaty note here as well.
