A dark beer, light and sweet and full bodied, highly fermented, very malty aroma. The slight Hpfennote rounds out the flavor and gives this drink a monastery special character. A beer in the good old custom of the monastery.

From a bottle shared. Pours a clear cola brown with a thin ecru head. Aroma of caramel with a hint of licorice. Quite sweet with flavors of sorghum. Medium to heavy do died with light carbonation. Sticky sweet finish.

There is an aroma that includes caramel, bread, and nuts. It has a dark brown color with a medium bodied light brown head. There is a toffee, nut, and caramel taste that has a bit too much carbonation.

Bottle from Vinosity. Medium cola brown pour with a large off-white head. The nose is sweet, quite nutty. Plenty of rich malty sweetness. Caramel, toasted pumpernickel bread, toffee. Chestnut. The taste is sweet. Rich malt profile. Candied nut and caramel. Light spiciness. A touch metallic on the finish. Medium body, active carbonation on the palate. Overall, pretty tasty stuff. The kind of thing you’d want on a cool fall day.
