This golden-colored beer exports attracted by its fresh, hoppy aroma. The use of selected malts and hops from the Hallertau Ettaler Edelhell gives his special touch.

Bottle: Golden coloured, huge rocky off-white head, quite stable, visible carbonation; sweet-malty nose with a tinge of honey and aromatic hops; sweet (malty) and soft bitter flavour; short sweet-bitter finish with a tinge of sweet malts and honey. A decent Helles, better than the average and......well quaffable!

(bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a mid-sized diminishing foamy white head. Slightly sweet malty aroma with honey and clover and a floral hoppy note in the background. Moderately sweet malty taste with fruity and honeyish undertones, turning into a light bitter and floral hoppy finish. Round and clean Helles.

Bottle, six weeks past best before date. Malty aroma with a hint of peach and butter. Malty flavor with a touch of hops, especially coming forward in the aftertaste. A bit stony. Medium bodied. Well made.

It’s not a special beer. Floral. Just looking good, but the taste is just a another pilsener.

Clear yellow color, short frothy head. Aroma of a regular german hell beer, quite floral. Bit watery taste. Easy to drink.

Fruity nose for a helles, clear gold color, spongy head. Sweetish malt front with a hint of apples. Much less bitter than a pils, so it really wasn’t balanced for my palate. Full body, though, but this needs more bitter for sure. OK beer, though too exciting.

hotstuff (4393) - Indiana, USA - OCT 30, 2004
Bottle from the Ettaler Monastery in Oberammergau, Germany. Poured a medium sized white head, lacing was sparse, uncarbonated, transparent, and a yellow hue. Aroma was malty and skunky. Lightly bitter flavor and malt. Boring. Smooth mouthfeel. Light bodied.
