webjedi (247), Silver Spring, Maryland, USA May 9, 2008 Bland Helles, nothing exciting on the pour, and a thin white head. Very corn and wheat flavors, very little hop. As noted with other ratings, nothing offensive, but nothing exciting. A little sweet, and very "field-like" scents. (Bottle Pour 4/25/2008)
EithCubes (1825), Indiana, USA Sep 25, 2008 Bottle. Sweet citrus and light lemongrass nose, nice clean hoppiness. Clear, very pale yellow body with a sparkling, fluffy bright white head. Creamy with some vanilla and light bitterness. Lighter-bodied than I like my Helle, but the malt is solid, the citrus and grassy overtones meld together well, and in the end there’s an undeniable feeling of satisfaction. Clean and super refreshing - about as good as you can get! DrDavid (361), Johnson, Vermont, USA Sep 18, 2008 (Bottle). Aroma is somewhat sweetish vanilla. Pale golden with white head.
