Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, vegetabel notes, light hoppy, grass. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111126]

Bottle. It pours a clear pale golden body and a small, off-white head. Rather boring aroma, weak and grainy with a fruity touch. The flavor is pretty much the same, at least equally dull. Not bad in any way though. Pale malts, some fruityness and a touch of bitterness towards the very end. A touch of metal too. Drinkable indeed, but too dull. 111126

Bottle @ FOneFan. Clear golden with small white head. Aroma is malt, straw and hops. Flavour is malt, medium sweet, straw, grainy, hops and a little bitter.

Screw-cap bottle: Pale greenish-golden, clear, small stable white foamy layer; moderate to solid sweet pale-malty nose with a light hoppy background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, smooth; lingering aromatic pale-malty and bisquity finish with a light hoppy aromatic aftertaste. (screw cap bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly grainy honeyish malty aroma with a whiff of citric and herbal hops. Slightly bitter flavour, light to almost medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Mildly grainy malty taste with a delicately hoppy spicy note; sweet-bitter well-rounded malty and herbal hoppy finish. Easy-going and rounded Helles. 03.XI.10

bottle. Pale yellow colour, large and persistent head, lovely hoppy aroma. Very full-bodied, malty, spicy, pleasantly hoppy. Hints of apple. Great flavour @ only 4.5% ABV. One of the best of the style I’ve bought in the Bavarian forest. Briliant!
