jstraw (415), Oak Park, Illinois, USA May 12, 2008 On tap at Jerry’s. Hazy orange-gold with decent white head / Fresh pine, citrus & caramel nose / Medium body with balanced malts and fresh hops, and good, although short finish / Flavors of fresh pine, pineapple, orange, with a little caramel in the pine finish / Outstanding, and better than Rogue’s IPA.
DocLock (4047), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 22, 2008 Hazy dark straw orangy pour with lingering off-white head. Nice hop flavor with tropical fruit undertones and a solid amount of caramel malt. The hops are crisp, assertive, and smoothed out by a solid malt bill. Outstanding. riversideAK (1468), Shoreline, Washington, USA Jun 18, 2008 Hazy yellow gold. Aromas of fruity and floral hops with some bready malts. Fruity and floral bitterness up front with some bready malts that never become too sweet. Pretty damn fruity actually with a great medium bitterness. Lingering hops, very resiny. I liked this one. dmtroyer (305), Harrisonburg, Virginia, USA Apr 3, 2008 Draft @ Rogue San Francisco. Pours extra hazy (unflitered?) orange with a fluffy white head. Mostly bitter fruit but an excellent carbonation and viscosity that make this better than most. Would try again if I could ever get it on the east coast. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 14, 2007 on tap-pours an off white head and hazy gold color. Aroma is hops-grapefruit zest. Taste is hops-grapefruit zest-some bitter, faint malt. OK/mild carbonation.
