Bottle shared. Pours cloudy golden brown with a big off white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, toffee, light butterscotch and fruit. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with over moderate carbonation.

Orange brown color with a strong white head. Nose is yeast with some resiny hops. Sweet body with notes of citrus and a strange metallic aroma. A rather unimpressive belgian strong.

Pours with a huge rocky head that diminishes slowly. Slightly resinous, hoppy aroma. Pleasing orangey-yellow colour. Taste is fairly typical for a tripel, sweet with a restrained bitterness. Has a full body with a slightly syrupy taste. Bitterish finish. Overall a good addition to the tripel scene with more hopping than others, but with the background sweetness expected of its style.

Bottled@Helsinki Beer Festival 2014. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is spices, some alcohol, yeast and a bit rubbery notes. Flavour is rather much similar, and actually has a quite dull side to it. This one feels like the yeast has done something it shouldn’t have done.

330ml bottle (HBF2014, Friday)
Slightly yeasty aroma. A touch fizzy in the palate. Yeasty taste. Too yeasty for me. Marmite too. Another underwhelmer from these guys. Need to have control over the pour myself and get a clearer one perhaps.

33cl bottle. Light orange and hazy with huge white head. NOSE : sweet malt aromas of candy, tart, dough, vanilla, fruit aromas of pomelo, orange peel, pear. SIP : medium body with medium carbonation and oily texture. The beer is sweet with tart and dough like flavors. But it’s only start. It uncoveres strong hop presence. Quite spicy pepper, grapefruit and zest. It has also distinctive yeast character and in the finish some dry notes. Bitterness is moderate. Aftertaste is zest with some bitterness and earthy notes. OVERALL : the beer is for me a shy approach for a Imperial IPA style. Tart sweet with strong hop character. In this beer is lacks more bitter and aromatic hops and there is a bit too much yeast in it to be called an IIPA. I guess that’s why it’s not an IIPA but the similarity makes is to close to enjoy it as a different style. In that case it’s a poor IIPA.
