3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 Benzai (4329) - Oirschot, - JAN 31, 201375 cl bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Very hazy yellow color with quite a lot of floating yeastresidu in it. Full sized a bit creamy quite long lasting fair lacing white head. Aroma has malts, a bit citrussy, grassy, lightly hops, quite fresh. Taste malts, hops, a bit citrussy, some fruits. Too highly carbonated though which really takes away some of the -I must say quite nice- taste. Body is medium and suits the beer. Really nice, but a real pity of the high fizzy carbonation.

33cl bottle. Expiration date: 2014 something.
BUT: there where some kind of kidney stones in the beer? They where rather big... I poured 2 glasses of this, to share, but we had to pour away the second glass completely, it looked disgusting actually...
Appearance: the glass that wasn’t polluted had a nice white head.
Nose: hops, lemon.
Taste: lemon, somewhat stale, lots of yeast.

Very huge, fully stable near-white head, fed by explosive carbonation in totally hazy orange-yellow beer. Some UFO’s, yeast all in suspension. Classic beeraromas jumping out of the glass; herbal, grassy and yeasty, followed by markedly USA-hoppy aromas. In the flaovur, the rosewater/lytcheelike floral hops vie for dominance with harsh, scorched liquorice-like flavour from the yeast (... ), which has become standard for Eutropius, apparently. The balance starts towards the latter, receding to the sweetness of the other component once warming up, retronasal excluded. Balance is not achieved, it remains clashing. Feels obviously overcarbonated; soft texture from the permanent head, medium bodied, slick & yeast-filled. Eutropius are going for a set of characteristics; their choice, not mine. Oh, and the e’s must have been particulary cheap when naming the beer ( it ought to be Remembrance...)

MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: sweet start, very fruity, floral, some Turkish delight, pretty sweet and sugary. Aftertaste: still fruity, sugar, little bitter, very floral, some honey, some alcohol.
