Butilka:Murky and dark brown, cloudy, slowly collapsing " dirty" white head; sourish dark-malty nose with additional cellary traces; sweetish-sourish flavour, some bitterness detectable, light bodied and fizzy; sourish caramelly finish, following bitterness in the aftertaste plus some traces of necrotic yeast. Not good at all…

Eutropius’ brown beer, with stable, yellow beige, irregular head and very dark burgundy colour, hazy. Estery fruitiness in the nose, chocolatey malts, red wine, pear, cinnamon, liquorice, balsamic vinegar, but unfortunately all of this is totally ruined by my good friends DMS (cooked cauliflower) and H2S (sewer water). Smooth and sweetish onset, then a bit harsh in maltiness, sourishness as a result of infection, sherryish and spicy notes cannot save the palate and the finish is predominantly yeasty, a bit cloyingly sweet and only very faintly hoppy. Unbalanced and flawed - and, to add insult to injury, not even a stout, rather a below average dubbel. Needs a whole lot of work.

33cl bottle from HopDuvel, BB 2015.

Bottle. Murky dark brown color. Malt, licorice and nutmeg and caramel in the aroma. Malty sweetish, slightly tart, roasty flavor. Thin. lemon. Apple. Strange beer.

Bottle @ home. Like the name, but the comments don’t look promising. Dark brown coloured beer with some light carbonation and a medium to small off white head. Very bizar aroma. Malts and veggies. almost going to skunky herby. Medium sweet and rather flat palate. Finish is slightly sour smokey and herby malty hinted with a flat wattery ending. Don’t know what to think of this one. OK has some promising notes but they don’t deliver. Very flat no character. Almost a flavoured watter, but not a good one. How the hell were they able to brew this one, and call it a stout?

6/12/2011 33cl bottle @ home - BB: n/a (markings on side of the label didn’t match the print) (2011-693)

Clear deep purple brown beer, small very light beige head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: weird unpleasant smell, rotten fruits, disinfectant, band-aid, rotten potatoes, just nasty. MF: low carbon, medium to full body. Taste: red sour berries up front, some weird grains or malts, little bit of mocha, citrus sour, weird chemical taste. Aftertaste: more sourness, red berries and band-aid glue, pretty nasty. Sorry, but a drain pour.

Countbeer (6205) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - DEC 5, 2011
Bottle: Small but vast light brown head on top of a dark brown beer with a amberish shine. Looks ok. Smell is a medium but fine mix of roasted malts, coffee, roasted barley, a good smelling stout. Taste roasted malts, darker ftuits, hint of medicine, some bitterness and light sweet even some light sour yeast ish touch. Taste and smell differs a bit, but not that much though. Pretty nice soft and light sourfruity... Herby light medicine darker fruity aftertaste. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, good medium body and a light creamy texture. Nice brew, bit fresh, light and sweetsour-a-like but nice overall..
