3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 12HundredBaud (262) - Sausalito, California, USA - MAR 4, 2011
Pint at a pub in Brecon (Wales). It pours a hazy deep amber liquid with a lasting medium consistent white head, leaving a lot of lacing. The aroma is light, being basically malty, with a little caramel, grassy hops and hints of fruit (orange). It tastes much more intense, with a nice balance of pale malts and hops. It feels sweet, very fruity, but with a herbal touch and a gentle bitterness. In the mouth it feels very smooth, softly carbonated and with a long and dry finish. Singular bitter; not like the "usual ones". Worth trying!
