A Mes rate: Cask at Baker St. ’Sporks. Murky amber with a crappy white rim. Bland sweet malt aroma. Oily and fatty flavour with a nasty malt finish. Poor.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 hughie (3992) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 24, 2008
Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Copper amber with a small white head. Faint sweet hop aroma. Slight sour taste. Disappointingly thin and watery. No real bitterness. Anaemic.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 harrisoni (10070) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 14, 2008
Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby, JDW, Canterbury. Copper colour with lasting beige head. Floral hop, some yeast, fairly light malts. Some caramel, some hop bite on finish. Yeah, it’s ok, but not a stunning bitter.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 berkshirejohn (3016) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 8, 2008
Cask at the William Morris (JDW), Hammersmith. Brilliant gold with a creamy white head and good lacing - an excellent looking pint, but everything went downhill from there; caramel malt aroma; creamy, smooth and sweet, with some bitterness but rather more caramel sweetness. Sickly.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 23, 2006
Cask (handpump) at Penderels Oak (JDW), Holborn, April 2006. Nice, bright amber colour. Malty aroma with what I could swear was a touch of chocolate. No sign of that on the palate though, where its smooth, fruity and pleasant. I thought there was a slight shortage of hop character (I didn’t get the Willamette) and maybe a lack of overall presence, but, overall a pleasant, easy drinking beer. ,
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Joeh (2036) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2006
Cask conditioned at The Falcon (JDW), High Wycombe. It is a dark gold or amber in colour with a fairly muted aroma. The first sip smacks you with an odd mixture of butter, ashtray, chocolate and coffee. It’s not nearly as bad as it sounds, and is actually quite nice despite being very peculiar.
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2006
Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW), Soton. Caramel malt nose. Well balanced body - a little sweet caraeml, toasty mmalts and an earthy hop finish. Not too bad.
