A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Sporks. Golden brown with a slight off white collar. A nice enough balanced bitter with a light caramel sweetness. Really wheaty, almost an unbrewed feel to it. Faint mineral notes too. Late bitterness in the finish with a hay and straw aftertaste.

Cask 4.2%. Low, white nitro head. Clear amber body. Caramel malty to the nose. Initial hoppy taste followed by sweet malts balanced by a lasting bitter finish. Likeable. (half at The Fly in the Loaf, Liverpool 03.05.2009).

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’09. Amber with white head. Light malty welsh type bitter without much character. Some bitter hopped dryness, a little biscuit in the malt, with ovaltine sweetness, but hard to enthuse about.

Cask@WetherspoonChepstow. Not much aroma, just light malty, light floral and a hint of herbs. Light hazy, yellow color, off-white head, good lace. Light sweet, bitter, fruity, hint of flowers, hint of butter, soft mouthfeel.
