COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A true Bavarian-style wheat beer, brewed using a unique yeast strain that produces the flavors of cloves and bananas. Our interpretation is malty with a creamy body.

Keg at the brewpub. Pours hazy gold with a white cream topping. The nose is simple doughy wheat, zesty citrus and banana. Medium sweet flavor with faint lemony tang, wheat bread, some banana, phenols. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Nicely balanced to finish, not too sweet, with faint bitter hay, lemon meringue, tangerine and bubblegum. Solid.

Draft at the brewpub. A hazy golden beer, this is pretty standard American brewpub fare for the style. It did have the requisite portion of fruity swirl, and just a hint of yeasty funk. Bit creamy and heavy bodied, but otherwise not bad. (#5791, 10/8/2014)

A rather mediocre hefeweizen at the brewpub. Started with a clear appearance, never a good start, too dark, not enough of a nose, was a bit buttery, a bit of yeastiness, but not much in the way of bananas or cloves. Don’t order this if you like a true to style hefeweizen. Do order if you like it more Americanized and bland.

The beer has a decent appearance with a nice hazy orange color to it that passes very little light through the glass, has a nice white half finger head and little lacing left on the glass. The smell is decent with an obvious banana and clove up front with a lemony zest and mild wheat finish. The taste is decent with a nice blend of orange/banana/lemon/clove and a hint of corriander on the back end. The mouthfeel is great as the beer is well carbonated and leaves a lingering mld bitterness around. Overall, I can see why this beer has won some medals and is enjoyable for everyone.

Spicy banana aroma. Lightly cloudy yellow. Wheaty, sweet spiced flavor. Smooth body yet crisp biting finish. Good, balanced hefe.

Growler filled at the brewpub and consumed the same day. Pours cloudy brown mustard color with a moderate linen white head that lasted through the first two sips and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of banana along with a bit of bubble gum. The flavor is wheat grain with a bit of mild banana. Mild bitterness at the finish. Light-medium bodied. Solid hefe.

On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy, murky orange pour, with aromas of banana, clove, and yeast upfront, and maybe some orangepeel as well. The flavor is banana, orange, some bitter yeast, and mild lye. Alright. [675]

On tap at the brewpub. Poured hazy gold with a hint of an orange hue and a white head that dissipated slowly but completely. Aroma had a nice citrus note with a bit of clove and sweet fruits and sweet wheat. Flavor starts with citrus with some backing banana, clove and wheat.
