Draft. Poured a dark brown color with a small off-white head. Aroma was roasted and toasted malt character, sweet malts in there as well - caramel notes. Flavor was light roasted malts, caramel character. Roasted character.

Bottle from Hi-Time. Pours dark brown with a creamy light tan head. Mild chocolate aroma. Med body, almost. Flavor is chocolate, but a bit ashy. It’s nearly dry, but not very bitter - except for a little burnt malt aspect. Maybe a hint of coffee. Blind tasting I’d think it was a slightly unusual porter. Drinkable, if a little thin for the flavors.

Botella. Thanks yespr. Black colour. Sweet roasty malty chocolate bit licorice like aroma. Flavour is sweet with roasted malt, choclate, some dark fruit and licorice.

Bottled. A brown beer with a lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, roasted malt, and caramel, leading to a dry roasted finish.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours pitch black with a small off white head. Aroma is dark roasted malty and breadish to liqourice. Bitter, dark roasted malty and dense dark malty. Dry and roasted, liqourice finish.

Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roastiness, coffee, earthiness and a hint of cocoa. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of roastiness, earthiness, light coffee and a hint of cocoa with a smooth lingering roasty finish.

Not quite black in color, more of a cola look to it. A short lived khaki head. A little bit of a licorice aroma to it, not all that roasty. Maybe a hint of coffee, but not very good coffee. Kind of a grainy sweetness to it, too. The coffee flavor is there, but the roastiness is bitter and not all that pleasant. Kind of watery with a mild sweetness. Possibly the weakest of the three Evans beers.
