Mild floral hoppy aroma. Not much malt backbone and a bit watery palate. Lighter pale ale. Descent. Nothing special ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer looks outstanding with a mildly hazy straw color, a nice white head and great lacing on the glass throughout. The beer smells decent with a nice blend of citrus, resin, and a bready smell. The beer tastes great with a decent resin taste with a hint of white pepper and a bready finish...almost acts like a IPA. The mouthfeel is outstanding as the beer is carbonated perfectly and you are left dry and mildly bitter. Overall, a solid APA from an under rated brewer (except the Kick Ass Brown, it has earned its stripes).?

Aroma is light floral and a touch of grain. Clear orange color. Tastes way more bitter than sweet. Not citric or even very hoppy, just bitter. Decent malt character, though this is not a stand out amongst the crowded style.

Drank on tap (10 oz) at the brewpub on September 16, 2012. Blonde foggy little head. Light aroma of hops a little dry, very soft. Hoppy taste dry and green, a few notes of herbs, slightly bitter. I would drink it if I was at a game!

Draft. Pours golden orange with a white head. Sweet citric hops, light floral notes, and lightly sweet malts. Bright and refreshing.

Beer 500! Now this is a proper apa. Golden amber hue with off white head that melts away. Lacing rings the glass. Nose of citrus and gentle pine. Bitterness and malt are well balanced. Grapefruit makes an appearance. Thanks for saving my opinion of the albany brewpub scene.

On tap at The Albany Pump House. A nice orange/gold/amber color with 1 finger of head. It smells of floral and citrus, exactly as expected. There is a nice mix of caramel and citrus hops, a good chorus of sweet and bitter. It’s thin and a bit on the higher carbonated side, which I think makes for an easily drinkable beer when combined with solid flavors.

On tap at Pump House - light orange. Very grainy aroma. Don’t smell much in the way of hops. Taste is grainy, too. Not a bad beer, but certainly nothing special.

Pint draught at the brewpub. Pours a hazy antique gold with a thin-moderate off-white head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left partial lace. Pleasant aroma of fresh orange zest and mild malt. The flavor is malt followed by some orange fruit and pith. Moderate bitterness at the finish. Solid.

A - Pours a clear golden-orange color with a finger of frothy white head. The head faded down to a thin ring leaving behind some lacing in the process. S - The aroma is full of citrus hop and sweet malt. There is lots of grapefruit and lemon aromas coming off the beer, T - Starts off with some nice sweet caramel malt and some citrus hop flavor and bitterness. Through the middle stronger bitterness as well as some spices and lemon flavors come through. The finish is a mix of caramel flavor and grapefruit hops and bitterness that linger nicely. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels very smooth and crisp. The finish is a nice mix of some slightly sweet flavors and some bitterness. D - Very drinkable. The hop and malt balance is really nice with a good level of bitterness. The hop profile is really nice.
