Rastacouere (5418), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 28, 2007 Clear straight light golden pour over which thrones a light white cover. Quite effervescent even after a long while. Generously aromatic with simcoe’s typical catty and needle smells. Floral, citrusy and very bitter to boot. Really dry all along with a juiciness from the hops. Kinda timid in maltiness though, barely a cerealic hint. Thin palate, but tight and cohesive carbonation. A more than honest pale ale. MartinT (4458), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Apr 29, 2004 Sweet orange candy mitigates the resinous hop bitterness...The malt delegates raspberries to overthrow the hops in the aroma...Hop burp propagates the West Coast feel... muzzlehatch (4429), Burlington, USA Jan 25, 2004 Sample at the brewpub. Light golden, just a spot of foam. Strong caramel-malt aroma, apricots and a little molasses. Fruity initial flavor, becomes dry and hoppy at the finish...starts off better than it ends. tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Apr 27, 2004 Orangina aroma. Pale with some chill haze and really thin head. Very sweet with strong unbalanced bitterness. As with most beers sampled at this brewpub, body is lacking and mouthfeel is thin and watery. On tap at the brewpub. jcwattsrugger (4087), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Aug 23, 2006 on tap-pours a big creamy white head that clings to the glass. Color is gold with effervescence. Aroma is citrus hops. Taste is citrus hops, secondary malt, sweet. Mild carbonation.
