1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear yellow without any head. Smells nothing. Pale malt and lemon. Very watery and very short finish. Supposed to be a Kolsch. Ever noticed how Evan’s and Evian sound similar… coincidence?

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
4 ounce sample at the brewpub. Grainy, cereal-like aroma with some citiric lemon hints present as well in the nose. Again, there is a fair amount of cereal. Pale, pale transparent diluted urine color with a frothy white head and fair lacing. This is way too pale, even for a kolsch. Light, grainy, cereal-like malts to start. A bit of citrus lemon to finish. A bit thin, yet tasty enough. Not offensive, just nothing overly enjoyable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice little Koelsch. Held up by strong herbalness and a light body with low carbonation. Avoids wateryness. Malts are very lightly sugar cookie sweet with celery crispness.

As blonde beers go, this one was very drinkable. Light and smooth, this Kolsch is nothing too generous in taste or memory (like most at this brewery it seems), but not bad when you’re hot. Or a girl. Just kidding.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A very watered down golden ale. Not much was here. Easy to drink, but lacking depth made it boring. Simple and enjoyable, I guess.

On draught in a souvenir shaker (figured why not since an empty was $5 and a full one was $6). Poured gold with no noticeable head. Smells of a meadow. Taste is of straw, sugar, and a hint of licorice.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
On draught at the brewpub, 4/9/2005. Light pale-gold appearance, intensely clear with no head to be retained. Aroma of soft grass, a shot of light yeast, a touch of bitterness and light grain husk. Flavor is very dry, highly attenuated but not as watery as I expected. Light crispness on the end, with no terribly off flavors. A bit of soapiness, dry grains and maybe a hint of floweriness. Light body, low carbonation.

April 2004. Yeloow fizzy lager with a corny grassy smell. Very bland taste, light sweet malt. If it was minral water, i would say it had character but this....mmmm...
