3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pint at the JDW real ale festival. Golden colour, haze rose to the top but didn’t fully clear, one finger head, decent retention, kept some lacing. Aroma was mainly strawberry, quite pleasant. Tasted citrus fruits, finish long and bitter also a bit bready. Minimal carbonation, fairly smooth, texture slightly thin and watery. Overall decent afternoon summer ale, slightly lacking depth.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Deep gold with a slight white head. Big, sweet tropical fruits, a heavy floral nose and dryish, citrussy finish. A bit too sweet and fragrant for me.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Half-pint, festival cask ale at JDWs Glass Works. Patchy white head fading over a near-clear, golden body. Moderately aroma of dried fruity hops. Dried fruity taste, too, with notes of pineapples. Sweet and rather floury in the mouth. Quite possible to drink, maybe a bit disjointed (London, 05.11.2012).

Lloyds Carlisle. Nice dusty gold appearance. Fruity floral aroma, clean light palate with sweetness coming through and a pleasant grassy finish. Citrus character comes through more and more with progress. Really enjoyed this.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned handpump Moon On The Square Northampton 08/11/12. A blonde beer with a white head. Typical Italian eccentricity. Some tropical fruit in the nose. Yeasty malts with fruits. Doughy flavours. Perfumed. Not sure how this went down with normal Spoons punters. No noticeable US hops for me.
