Beacon beacon beacon the easiest of all of Everards beers to drink. If I dint live in Leicester I wunt need to drink it and itís score less but I do and I appreciate it very session-ness. Everards pubs are ten a penny here and thatís what I choose to session on. Normal. Aaaah ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hand pulled at the Queen Victoria, Syston, Leicester. Canít believe I havenít already rated this, as itís a local favourite and has formed part of my [pub] upbringing. Very well balanced golden Bitter, with soft floral and straw notes. Good sweetness, very easy to sup. Creamy too. Tasted great last night.

Cask at OíBriens, London. Pours a clear, rich gold with a foamy-bubbly white head. Light toasted dough nose with hints of grain and leaves. Light sweet flavor with some toasty bread, light dough, mild leafy bitterness and faint dry berries. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Basic and fairly bland on the finish with some toasty leaves and faint bread, along with suggestions of apple. Pretty bland overall.

Tasted this in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in November 2005. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin creamy white head. Weak malt powder in the slight aroma. Very thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Weak pale malt gives a short biscuity flavour with little else of note. The aftertaste is very watery with little hop flavour at all. Finish is insipid with hardly any body to speak of. Expected better than this from Everards.

Light orange look with a white head. Sweet malt and light citrus. Frothy with a medium body. Wheaty and watery. Some sweetness with a malty and medium bitter aftertaste. Fairly bland and easily forgotten. Bland
