tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - DEC 8, 2011
Tasted this in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in November 2005. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin creamy white head. Weak malt powder in the slight aroma. Very thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Weak pale malt gives a short biscuity flavour with little else of note. The aftertaste is very watery with little hop flavour at all. Finish is insipid with hardly any body to speak of. Expected better than this from Everards.

Cask handpump at The Wheatsheaf (I think) Edith Weston, Rutland 14.05.11 Golden in colour with a mid sized white head, in good nick. Decent hoppy tasty session beer. Can’t believe I hadn’t rated this before and I must admit it surprised me, not bad at all. A6 A4 T6 P4 Ov12 3.2
