UPDATED: APR 20, 2006 Apr 06 Cask conditioned @ Giddy Bridge (JDW), Soton. Good Bitter Herbal hops and clean malts. Although served slightly cold in better condition. 3.7
Mar 06 Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Herbaceous hops develop into a mild bitterness which helps to ease the growing caramelly malt components. Quite tasty and certainly worthy of trying in better condition as this seemed slightly green. 3.4

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2006 Re-rate: Cask, Anne of Cleaves, Melton Mowbray. Better quality than at the festival. A good balance of malts and fruitiness. Quite addictive with grapefruit bitterness. A very decent Everards brew. (Previously 3 out of 5). Cask, Leicester Fest 06. Golden brown with a small head. Aromas are sweet and fruity with apricot and pear. Also has tea with some pepper. Flavours are dry, fruity and earthy. Bitter towards the finish. OK, if a bit boring.

Cask (handpump) at The Colonies, Westminster. A hoppy little number from Evereards. Distinctly grassy, with a touch of pale malt in the background. Crisp, almost sharp, finish. Very drinkable.

<a href=http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/86/865 Salisbury, Covent Garden Wow! Oily, dripping fresh hops. Stunning! A fresh, beautifully conditioned ale with a gloriously emphatic burst of English hops. Stimulating and refreshing. This is a deliciously earthy, dusty, oily extravaganza.

Cask at the Wellington Arms, Beford. Mid amber with a good off-white head. Not a strong aroma, but it’s a refreshing, sessionable springtime beer with a pleasant hoppy finish.
