COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Seasonal - September & October. Previously 4.8%.
One of our favourite seasonal beers, Equinox is smooth and easy to drink. Its Autumnal name is matched by the mature fruit flavours associated with the season.

[CASK: The Salisbury Ale House, Manchester 22/09/06] For the high % I was expecting much much more. Not a very pleasant tasting ale and nothing particular interesting about it.

First tasted this in the Aragon Bar, Glasgow in September 2003. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear orange amber in colour with a thin white head. Sweet tangerine fruit noted in the short aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a robust digestive biscuit base with thin toffee and citrus fruit. Short note of dry hops present in the bitter resiny aftertaste. Really good malt and hop balance in the short finish. A pleasant session bitter.

Leighton (4100) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 15, 2010
Cask at Cobden Arms. Pours clear, lght gold with no head, really. Malt aroma with some spice, apple and doughy bread. Flavor is lightly sweet and marked by citrus, earth and herbal hops. There are some mild plastic notes, too, along with more apple. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Odd finish, with some sweet fruit and sugar with dirty bitters. A tad thin, a tad uninteresting.

Cask conditioned Handpump Globe Leicester. A golden beer with a tight sparkled white head and lacing. The aroma has wholewheat biscuits. The taste is oatsy and has crackerbread. There are hints of lemony hops too. Pretty decent; I enjoyed this.

Cask, The Highcross, Leicester. Hazy gold with an off-white head. Aromas are light biscuit malts with citrus and some spices. Flavours are sweet grain and butter with lemon. Quite damp with a dry finish. Not especially bitter. Akin to home brew.
