500 ml can. Deep golden with off white head. Aroma is one-dimensional but decent; malty with fruit and grass notes. Taste is similar, malt, mild fruit, metal and grass hops. Simple but not unpleasant.

Can from Super Brugsen, CPH - amber pour, small head that dissipates pretty quickly. Toasty malty, some caramel, toffee, syrup, bitter finish. Ok.

Canned 0,50L. Everards Original Pale Ale. Dark reddish color, limpid aspect withoun bubbly and a creamy head of discreet duration. A little metallic aroma with a light rumors of malty and roast cereals, cortex and cask. Medium alcoholic mouth, not much prickly taste, bitterish and malty final.

Clear amber color with a good off-white head. A little thin but good pleasant easy-drinking beer. Fine tuned bitterness.

5.2% ABV Bottle: BBD 28 Sep 2013, poured into a UK pint sleeve some 6 days after that date. Looks lovely, a true amber hue to it’s body: the crown a full, deep blanket of off-white foam. Malty and fruity nose, those aromas carry on into the taste nicely. Semi-sweet and full of malty molasses that sweep the hop content under the surface throughout the pint, toffee, caramel and biscuity notes fill your senses and I actually enjoyed it more than the cask version, which is very unusual for me.

50cl can. Hints of dryhopping but not anything good, caramel. Dark amber with no head. Lightly hopped, flowers, sugar. Well carbonated, medium bitter finish. Boring.

500 ml can. Clear deep golden body with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma is moderate fruity with malt, pretty straight forward. Flavor is as expected from aroma mild malt and some fruitiness, moderate bitterness. A rather uninspired bitter, drinkable but frankly not far away from a lager in flavor.

Clean amber color, medium beige head. Aroma of caramel, malt, hops, some chocolate, nuts and fruity notes. Taste is similar, quite dry with mildly bitter finish. Light body and average carbonation. Drinkable

A fairly ordinary British bitter living on its past glory. The label proclaims ’Gold winner cask conditioned ale 2004’ For one - it’s not cask conditioned if it’s in a bottle, two - it’s not even bottle conditioned & three - I’d like to bet that the ’original’ Original didn’t contain wheat.

0,5L can bought in supermarket, Middelfart DK. Vanilla-cacao-white high foam. Mangoish aroma. Deep orange colour. Deep tast of malts, some bitterness, chocolate, syrup-coffee. Aftertaste from bread, syrup, malts, hops. Aleright bitter, and bitterness is gentle for its style. DK, Vejlby Fed, 3july2013.
