Cask, Seasonal;
A new addition to our range of Guest Ales, Regimental IPA is based on the traditional IPA beer styles, brewed to satisfy the tastes of the British Army in India. Brewed with Maris Otter malt and a small amount of Crystal Malt to give the beer its rich, amber bronze colour. Challenger copper hops are added to give the beer its full rounded bitter character, along with Bodicea and Cascade hops to give a dry finish with spicy, floral hop aromas.

Cask @ Waterhouse, Manchester. Amber-orange with a thick creamy head. Has a floral character, although not overly agreeable, but relatively smooth in the palate.

can from kvickly. clear yellow, large smooth offwhite head. aroma is sweet and slightly sour malts, also some flowery hops, quite subdued though. quite english. for a bitter, it seems to be a bit more flowery and with some strange sweet/sour notes too. Less herbal than a normal bitter. flavor is malts, euro hops to balance, somewhat sweet, faint flowery note, bitterness in the end is both alc. and euro hops. overall i find it a bit macroish and also not very fresh.

Can. Amber with off white head. Caramel, grain, spruce and a little resin in aroma. Flavour has a little caramel sweetness and ends in a slightly toasted bitter finish. 9 kr. for 50 cl. in Fakta makes it an affordable thirst quencher for the Champions League qual match AaB-Apoel (and AaB is up by one-nil at the moment, so the beer is sampled in a good mood, which might add to my impression). Nice beer, albeit it’s fairly plain.

0,5 l can from SuperBrugsen, Hals, Denmark. Clear deep golden body with a small white head. Caramel and notes of flowery herbs with a hint of wet cardboard on the nose. Malty backbone to a pungent, stale and papery bitterness that lasts. Medium bodied.

Can, 50cl. Pours with a clear, copper slight amber color with a foamy, medium-big off-white head. Fruity aroma with hobs, apples, grass, hay, sweet almost caramel malty finish. The flavour begins very floral, fruity with spicy hobs bitterness slight overbalanced for my likes. Middle and finish is more sweet with the caramel malts being more present. Little short-medium dry finish. Thin-medium body with average, soft carbonation. More regular ale than traditional IPA. Still pretty decent.

Can 0,5l. Pours a clear copper amber colour, with a small off-white head. Aroma of toffee and bread malt mix with floral and spice hops. Taste is floral and fruity hops up front, caramel and bread malt in the mid-palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Huge off-white top, clear golden amber body, spread out lacings. Fruity scents, hops, grass, apple, strawberry, malts, butter, elderflower, meadwort. Taste is bitter-butter, bread, hops, fruity-berryish stuffs. Normal on palate, good body. Finish; bread, wort, wood, bitter notes, bread again. Too sweet as IPA, so, premium bitter I think is right. [50cl can, abv5%, B@Kvickly, T@Middelfart Fyn DK]

A brilliant bright amber colored body, under a fully fading blond top. Faint caramel, some perfume and soap, and very mild soil/earth from the hops. Thinnish. Sweetish toasty caramel flavor with a little harshness to it. A decent amount of earthy bittering hops throughout. Not that bad for a filtred and pasteurized bitter, but one glass is more than enough. [Can, enjoyed on-shore Sjællands Odde]
