COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Seasonal;
A new addition to our range of Guest Ales, Regimental IPA is based on the traditional IPA beer styles, brewed to satisfy the tastes of the British Army in India. Brewed with Maris Otter malt and a small amount of Crystal Malt to give the beer its rich, amber bronze colour. Challenger copper hops are added to give the beer its full rounded bitter character, along with Bodicea and Cascade hops to give a dry finish with spicy, floral hop aromas.

On cask at Golden Fleece Stamford - a decent biscuit coloured body, white head that soon goes, nice citric nose. A bit thin, but very refreshing with grapefruit and kumquat, perhaps one for a nicer day.

Huge off-white top, clear golden amber body, spread out lacings. Fruity scents, hops, grass, apple, strawberry, malts, butter, elderflower, meadwort. Taste is bitter-butter, bread, hops, fruity-berryish stuffs. Normal on palate, good body. Finish; bread, wort, wood, bitter notes, bread again. Too sweet as IPA, so, premium bitter I think is right. [50cl can, abv5%, B@Kvickly, T@Middelfart Fyn DK]

OleR (4752) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 28, 2014
A brilliant bright amber colored body, under a fully fading blond top. Faint caramel, some perfume and soap, and very mild soil/earth from the hops. Thinnish. Sweetish toasty caramel flavor with a little harshness to it. A decent amount of earthy bittering hops throughout. Not that bad for a filtred and pasteurized bitter, but one glass is more than enough. [Can, enjoyed on-shore Sjællands Odde]

Considerably more malt than bitterness in this I.P.A. that will probably do some enthusiasts disappointed. In my opinion, it tastes more like an ordinary English ale.

Burk från Kvickly, Helsingör. Mörk guldfärgad med aningen smutsigt vitt skum. I doften smörkola och malt. Samma i smaken, men där hittas också en fruktighet. Besk eftersmak. Drickbar absolut, men rätt tråkig.

Positive experience, quite bitter aftertaste, nice colour and aroma, great on a hot day

500ml bottle. Pours a clear copper amber, with a small off-white head which lasts reasonably well, and leaves good lacing. Toffee and bread malt mix with floral and spice hops to create the aroma. Floral and fruity hops up front give way to caramel and bread malt in the mid-palate. Fruitcake and toffee notes come in at the finish. A decent, if not outstanding bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, March 2014. Amber in colour with a slight, off-white head. Sweet, caramel and cereal malts, with a slight floral edge and moderately bitter finish. Indifferent.
